Michael Rager volunteered to assist WHCC as it assembled a committee to host its first Chick-fil-a Leadercast Event in 2012. Mike’s knowledge of the event, his energy and contacts helped WHCC exceed its goals, despite our late start doing a new thing. With his continuing help on an active committee, we are projecting more than 300% growth for 2013.

Recognizing organizational weaknesses displayed in the 2012 process, Mike agreed to join the Board and then offered a continuing quarterly Board Development series to help drive our organization towards our stated goals. Early returns are positive and WHCC’s Board is pleased that Mike is demonstrating such leadership as we grow our annual budget and outreach capability.

Before I began coaching I was not in a very good place in life. I was confused as to why I was stuck in such a bad place both personally and professionally. I couldn’t seem to get out of my own way. The more I tried to push the universe in the direction that I wanted it to go, the more it seemed to be pushing back 10 times harder. I finally had come to the conclusion that the way I was doing things simply was not working. At the time I met Mike I had been coaching with someone else for about a year. With lukewarm results, I felt that it was time to crank up the volume on my learning curve. I needed to be more focused on my overall attitude towards life, my businesses, and especially my marketing approach.

After a short period of time, (and some resistance from myself) I really started to understand that it was my thoughts, beliefs, and my reactions that were responsible for the things that were happening in my life and businesses. There was lots of work to do… Mike and I quickly established an incredible working relationship and have been working with one another ever since. More importantly, Mike and I have become friends over the past couple of years. Friends are not something that I come by easily in life and I can say Mike truly has my best interest at heart both professionally and personally. He has helped me grow both as a person and as a leader by:
